Biracial and Multiracial Process group:

This ongoing one hour and fifteen-minute weekly process group is designed for individuals who identify as biracial or multiracial. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences navigating multiple racial identities and to explore how these identities intersect with other aspects of their lives - especially in today's socio-political and ecological climate. In the group, participants will have the opportunity to learn about themselves and others through the relationships that develop and the thoughts and feelings that arise during group interactions. This space is especially supportive for individuals who have grown up in predominantly white environments. The group will meet either on Wednesdays from 11:30am - 12:45pm or 5:15–6:30 pm, with a projected start date of October 29th. The format—virtual or in-person—will be determined based on participants’ needs. The group is led by me, Mia Pixley, Ph.D., a psychologist with expertise in supporting the diverse experiences of biracial and multiracial individuals and in facilitating psychotherapy groups.
