My Approach: I approach our work together with an integrative depth psychology lens rooted in relational, Internal Family Systems, decolonial, and trauma-informed frameworks. What this means is, I center you and the many ways you teach us about you - where our relationship becomes a guide for us to learn and work together. In so doing, we begin to understand what may be holding you back in personally meaningful ways and how to transform these patterns toward a freer way of being. As a person who has found creativity extremely helpful in navigating life’s challenges, I invite you to bring in your own sense of playfulness and ingenuity to this work. I find that creativity offers a sense of expansiveness and fun into our time together that can help soften and enrich the harder aspects of the process. I also incorporate practical tools from CBT, EMDR, and somatic therapy to foster greater agency and grounding in challenging moments. Woven through all of this, is my humility, a sense of humor (because let’s be real), and a steadfast awareness of how systemic oppression shapes both our psyches and the more than human world, keeping our interconnectedness in focus.
Specialization:
Many of the people I work with move through life in ways that don’t fit the mold and/or have often felt a little (or a lot) “weird”. I work with individuals who endure marginalization, oppression and overwhelming experiences that have resulted in them feeling cut off from an inner sense of safety, community, and personal power. I specialize in guiding people through liminal spaces—those times when identities shift and roles transform. Whether navigating parenthood, career shifts, separations, death, personal breakthroughs, identity reckonings from transracial adoption, late-life ADHD diagnoses, or the impact of global upheaval, I support those at the inflection points - whether desired or imposed.
In addition to the above, I currently have one virtual pro-bono spaces (8-12 sessions) for someone who has lost their home, livelihood, and community in the Eaton wildfire. In addition to this, here is an extensive list of providers offering pro bono services to those directly impacted by the LA wildfires.
